Pick a strong visual thesis
Cyberpunk is a crowded aesthetic. I committed to one idea — reactive cyberware — and pushed it further than anyone else rather than spreading across many effects.
Finish is everything
Judges feel polish instantly. Clean edges, considered colour, reactive motion. The last 10% of refinement is what separates winners from the pack.
Ship volume, then concentrate
I shipped 10 effects (1.4M points) to learn what resonated, then concentrated that learning into the standout entry.
